Started by timhoeck · 1 år dage siden

I have two more Yahoo Pipes up and running for FriendFeed stats. The first will show you who you have commented on the most. The second shows who you liked the most. • Excellent work Tim. These feeds satisfy my hunger.
  • Hi Tom, these yahoo pipes for processing friendfeed caught my eye. Nice work. Since you obviously have looked at ways to get the important info from friendfeed - I have a question for you. I write mobile apps (particularly around sms based apps). I am interested in exploring friendfeed and sms. I am trying to think of the main friendfeed things that people would be interested in getting immediately alerted by sms. My 1st thoughts are things like - new comments by others on their friend feed.

From your knowledge of abstracting useful info from friendfeed - what friendfeed happenings do you think people would like to get notified by SMS?
  • Can you create a pipe that searches for mentions of "name" minus entries/comments/likes made by "name"

    Get what I mean?
  • Shey,

You can, however, the problem becomes where to look. If you were talking
about that, the only place to look would be in the "everyone" feed. Since
the results are currently limited to ~1000 entries, you might not get too
many results. That might be more suited for a "monitoring" type
application, similar to summize for twitter - check out
http://spy.appspot.com/ - that service might be able to add the options to
    not search for entries/comments/likes.
